AFGHAN HOUND

BASENJI
The name is pronounced Buh-SEN-jee, and they are best known for their bark: They haven't got one. They don't bark, but they do make sounds. When they are happy they chortle or yodel softly, and they have a sad wail when they're unhappy. Usually, however, they're quiet.

Long and low to the ground, the Basset Hound is renowned for his sweet personality and gentle manners. As a family companion, especially for kids, the Basset is a winner. He brings his easygoing, laid-back style into the house and is extremely devoted.

BEAGLE
Because Beagles lived in packs for so many hundreds of years, they just naturally like being together with people and other animals. They are gentle, happy companions, as loving as they are lovable. They are also clever, quick, and, most of all curious. They need plenty of active exercise.

Bearded Collies work actively as herders, even today. But they excel as pets, too. Though best suited to suburban or country living. Beardies can be happy in the city with plenty of exercise.
